WEEK 4 TAKE AWAY

We are nearing the end!!! :D

As I try and wrap up this session I can't help but be excited along with major procrastination. It is getting harder and harder to look at my list of TO-DO's and sit down and get them completed, but I will do it!! The coming break and becoming more and more desirable as each assignment for the three classes I am in come to an end!

This week I completed the activity with the same root word as portable. It was a little difficult, due to my brain being complete MUSH!!! However, when I found that it was difficult, I reviewed the CSSR strategy to help me come up with words.
CSSR stands for Context Structure Sound Resource--- I will tell you that I used my resources to help me create as many words as I could. This is a strategy that I know I will be able to use in my classroom, especially with becoming an elementary teacher... But it also goes to show that it can be used throughout education and in life.. SINCE I HAD MY OWN DIFFICULTY with making a list of words with the same root as portable!!! HAHA

  1. I agree about all the things that are going on with class. I agree that the port example was interesting and a new way to look at root words. I also liked the idea of students coming up with their own vocabulary words from what they read. Great examples for vocabulary.
